WordPress 2.9 Beta is Available For Download

wordpress logo 150x150 WordPress 2.9 Beta is Available For DownloadThe most awaiting announcement from WordPress is out, Yes WordPress released 2.9 beta and said that the final version would be made available by the first end of December if everything goes fine.If you are comfortable with php and want to test the latest version you are free to download the beta version at official website.Earlier we have notified you about the quick updates to the 2.8.5 and 2.8.6 versions.

During the beta phase WordPress team will be concentrating mainly on the new features and fixing the bugs and aims to make 2.9 the bug free version. While Evaluating the beta WordPress will have be coming with an embedded plugin so that the testers will get updates and fixes automatically such that it will keep the bugs update.

Hi Rajesh …why can’t you use wide header..It looks very nice in this design..If you place ads its ok..

i havent upgraded my wp blog to new versions since last 2 updates :(
actually i dont know perfectly what all steps or wat all backups we need to take.

I’m still undecided if I want to be part of the beta game. On one hand, it’s nice to see all the features but on the other hand, I really don’t have time for it until its mass release.

2.9 is going to be big but I wont advice to make it love on your blog coz its in beta.. You can try it on your local wordpress installation or on your testing environment..

Apart from taking backup (in term of zip files) that your web host provides, what other backups do you take before going for a WS upgrade?
