WordPress 2.8.5 Available Update it Now

wordpresslogo thumb Wordpress 2.8.5 Available Update it Now I have mentioned about WordPress 2.9 beta release and in the mean time the WordPress team announced an update for its 2.8 version with lots of patches.They have solved most of the bugs raised in 2.8.4 and all security breaches were solved making sure that 2.8.5 is much more secure when compared to its earlier versions.

As per the WordPress blog these are the latest bugs that were solved and the headline changes in this release are:

A fix for the Track back Denial-of-Service attack that is currently being seen.
Removal of areas within the code where php code in variables was evaluated.
Switched the file upload functionality to be white listed for all users including Admins.
Retiring of the two importers of Tag data from old plug-ins.

Download the latest version of WordPress 2.8.5

I will wait for 2-3 days to update to the latest version mean while i will check that in my test environment.

was Backup my Db and updated the wordpress. Though wordpress are releasing very quick update..
