iPad tablet computer is the most awaited and the latest release from Apple which works on iPhone OS. The functionality is very similar to iPod Touch and most of the apps which were available for iPhone & iPod can be used with the iPad and there were many apps which were made dedicated for this device. It supports Wi-Fi & 3G and is available in 3 models 16GB, 32GB & 64GB with Wi-Fi & 3G options to choose from.
Despite of the features and lots of reviews Here is the list of important things which iPad is missing.
Lack Of Multitasking
Sticking to the single application and keep on working on that is practically impossible and also not going to work these days and the most of us don’t want to see the app which is loading for quite some time. Single app is the thing which sucks in iPad as one cannot even hear to music while browsing a web page.
Lack of Camera
Camera which is a must have option for the hand held devices is not included in iPad which really sucks again. With out the camera the possibility of video conferencing is not going to happen.
No Flash Support
Although Adobe flash team, and the Apple team working together on integrating flash support to the flash based apps in iPhone and iPod nothing had happened in concrete yet and as the iPad is based on the iPhone OS there is no possibility of having flash support in this device and also Steve Jobs also haven’t mentioned anything about this in the announcement.
USB Support
With the size and looks the iPad looks very similar to the netbook and lack of USB ports is definitely one the major drawback for the iPad and the the memory range (16, 32, 64 GB) were not sufficient enough for the hand held devices.
Memory & Price
iPad comes with 16GB, 32GB, 64GB versions and these are the factors that decide the pricing of the device too. There is no option for expanding the memory of the device say, If you once buy the 16GB version you have to stuck with it and also 499$-829$ for this device is abit over priced.

Good analysis. Despite the missing features, I think, iPad is going to be a break-through product in tablet device category because i) The app eco-system and iTunes integration ii) Design and form-factor iii) The cool factor. Every holiday season, we wish for a special a gift that we don’t own already. Add to that something cool and has an Apple logo slapped on it’s back. There you see – iPad.
I think the early adapters are going to be Apple fan boys and executives who don’t want to carry Netbooks. Once the additional features are included and price point is below the current levels, it is going to be an house hold item (moms buying iPads for kids – replacing PSPs/Game Cubes) and medical professionals using iPad for on the spot medical data analysis diagnosis.

Of course it is missing features, this is what Apple always do, it gives them the opportunity to release new versions that people go just as mad for!
