If you are using a wordpress blog, then take a good look at the plugins background before installing them. Hackers most often use plugins to spread virus.

Good post. I should suggest to use many different emails. Personal and professional and one for other works. Passwords includes alpha numeric atleast 12 alphabets long.
Also, if you have fear of any virus, malware and other thing. Log in from the virtual keyboards like which used by most of the banks for online banking.
1) kaspersky virtual keyboard feature
2) Virtual keyboard firefox addon..

i also get certain mails regarding paypal that your account lack this and that information..click here to fill them up by login…
this kind of mails look very professional and also the email id they use seems to be from paypal only…
But when u see the link and the email carefully u can say that it is not from paypal but it is not that simple …

So we need to be very carefully in this matter and as u said use alternative email id for this type of transactions…

It’s the worst when your account has been hacked and I don’t wish it on my worst enemy. It can damage your reputation and even get you banned from other sites if the hacker makes trouble.

One always needs to be safe and ensure you are updated with latest version on anti-virus, etc.

I have been using Google mail service for long time and i never had to face any Hack Attacks. Even my domain e-mail service runs on Google App so it is more secure.

I would suggest to use Google account service as it is very secure then other service provider like Rediffmail, mail, etc.

All google accounts like Orkut, Gmail, Wave, etc are secured with 4 levels of security which makes it more difficult for hackers to hack it.

–First Level – Security-SSL or 128 bit secured connection

–Second Level – Googlet account checks for cookie in the sytem of user

–Third Level – Google provides a redirection to the entered User information

– Fourth Level – Google doesn’t use conventional php, asp, aspx coding So it is impossible to hack Google Accounts using input validation attack!!!
