How To Make A Website/Blog SEO Friendly?

SEO is one of the most important thing a website needs and Unique content is not the only thing that boosts a website but in addition to that proper SEO is mandatory, Usually a Web Search Engines work on indexing the website, Meta tags, Web Crawling and builds the search. When it comes to optimizing your blog for search engines the two things you you have to consider is “on-page optimization” and “off-page optimization”.

How to Make SEO Friendly BlogOn-page optimization is the elements of the web page which optimizes very well and see that our page is ranked well in search engines.these elements can include content such as the actual sentences, paragraphs, important links, tags and many more.

Off-page optimization means the things that are done on sites besides our site, namely link-building, Backlinks and related. Off-page optimization means creating links on other websites that points your site. Inbound links have a major impact as it is the factor which decides the rank of the website in search engine’s view. Remember that all inbound links help you in building a better rank as a “no follow” link from a website is not considered to be an exact backlink and also the quality of the backlink matters. I agree! We need to have a good seo-friendly theme for our blog. I have a good looking theme (According to me) in my blog but I would like ot know whether its SEO-Friendly? Can you please have a look at it and its page source and tell me? If No, can you please suggest me some other seo-friendly themes?

@Saksham: It seems the number of links in your pages are exceeding the recommended limit for a good SEO. Matts Cutts suggests a maximum of 100 links per page. Your side bar & footer has many links. It may help if you can do away with few of them.

SEO friendly theme is important indeed and unless you are a good designer, you have to buy one. By the way, your sitelinks on Google removed. You have to work hard to regain that trust.

I have one question coming to my mind… Take for example I publish a post and it does not get the expected attention of the readers… So, is ot wise to re-publish t with today’s date or schedule it for future?? Does it have any ill-effect to the SEO health od my blog?

I recommend you to make that post sticky. It will bring your post in the front in readers view as well as there will be no SEO loss. Changing dates can cause you troubles if you use dates in your permalinks. Making a post sticky is the best option.

Sticky post will bring the post in the front page or main page of your site i.e. it will remain the same with all dates as it was before, but the post will display in the main page before all the new posts. So it will get attention from your users!

Content and a great layout of the blog will help to make it more seo friendly and none the least an seo optimized theme.
i have recently shifted to thesis theme and only in 13 days my bounce rate decrease and it comes to 38% from 70%.
