Adding snowflake is fun and best way to decorate your blog for this Christmas. Here is the simple hack to get snowflakes in your BlogSpot blog, follow the steps to get that in action at your blog.

  1. Download the java script snow.js (Right click on snow.js and click on “save as” to download the java script).
  2. Upload and host the java files to the webserver.
  3. To know how to upload java files for with unlimted checkout this article.
  4. Add the following code in the section of your template page.

Yes, the code works well for wordpress blogs. How can you serve the java script files in a free server, now a days free servers are not allowing java script files to be served in their host, as they are afraid of the malwares.

I suggest you to use filave.com which allows free java hosting, i use to use that in my old music blogger based blog.. Hope this helps you.. :)

yeah it also works for wordpress..

I think the tutorial is incomplete. User save the article in PC and now add the script code. I think something you miss between this two step after all blogspot blog don’t allow .js uploading and not even any free host. So, tell us the details, how we going to do this.

The background of my blog’s theme is white, So its showing snow only on the place where the color is not white. So now i have to think something else to give my blog christmas look :(

I think u better try the plugin which also displays Christmas theme and Pictures… or else you have to end up with changing ur theme which I have mentioned in my earlier post..

any blog will load a bit slow when we use java scripts while loading.. anyways that is a temp issue as we ll be removing the effect after the season.. so its not so critical to worry about..

When I gave my blog a Christmas theme I had also added a snowing plugin. It looked really good, but it did slow, possibly because of all my other plugins, the loading page down. :(
