Google Google updated the PageRank finally after a long wait. They took 2 months for the PageRank update for which I am waiting eagerly. For me it is really a great news because TechCats is now a PR 2 blog. The PR for TechCats is only because of the active commenting which helped me in driving good traffic and backlinks.
I have noticed that many of you have got a PageRank which is perfect reason to celebrate this new year eve.
So howdy what is your blogs PageRank? Is it a sweet success or bitter experience , let me know about it.

ahh.. so this is what PR is
, well my little TechSanta , I was under the misguided notion that is had something to do with some sort of Hollywood Publicity teeheeee 
, and thought : ‘OK, this is some type of internet error ‘ 
. However, I will say this much : I have come to realize that Numbers fluctuate & tend to change ( as all pervasive systems within the universe : languages, political systems, religions, etc. ). One can be at the top of the charts one day and in the bottom of the pit the next . I have never given any precedence to ratings or numbers for that matter ( especially where blogging is concerned ) , although I do realize that many do not share my viewpoint on the matter . I believe that the quality of one’s content is more pivotal & takes much more precedence over anything else , and in essence : it takes time and much effort for a blog to attain and achieve the notice & the Page Rank it requires amongst users . If a blogger who is just starting out ( like myself ) is expecting to attain recognition and high page rank within a few months of entering the bloggersphere – then they are deluded and have def set their expectations very high. I believe that if one blogs ( writes ) , out of their need to extol that which they are passionate about , and maintain their focus & intent upon their content , then everything else will come on its own . Everyone is recognized based on their works ( efforts ) . We get back, what we put out in essence . But , I will never worry about the Numbers , as much as the quality of my content .

You need not worry for PR, alexa rank it is just an external ranking system which makes us feel proud anyways while coming to the suggestions.. write some quality articles, comment more on ur realted niche blogs, follow some technical blogs for minimal technical knowledge( esp. blogging related), work on minimizing the page load time as this is going to be one of the constraint that measures PR next time.. for this U can super cache which helps u in minimizing the time to load the page.. contact me in case u find and difficulty in doing any of the above..

After talking with many seo experts I got the reason that my PR get diluted with my own duplicate content. I have many duplicate URL indexed in Google, first I will fix it,so definitely I will do next time.

On 1st Jan I had PR3 which surprised me as this is a pretty new blog but Now that I have moved it to self hosting from blogetery.com the PR has dropped to 0. I wonder why?
