Wordpress testing team announced about its latest release Wordpress 2.9 beta by end of October. It is inviting the testers to join their testing team such that they can interact with the fellow testers. Subscribe to the WordPress testing team at wp-testers.
During the beta phase Wordpress team will be concentrating mainly on the new features and fixing the bugs and aims to make 2.9 the bug free version. While Evaluating the beta WordPress will have be coming with an embedded plugin so that the testers will get updates and fixes automatically such that it will keep the bugs update.
Finally the good news is that the final build of Wordpress 2.9 would be available by the end of November or the first half of December.
Mean while check out the latest updated version of WordPress 2.8.5
